16th of August 2009 marked the launching of the 3rd season of Mad Men that premiered on AMC.

After the wait, the Mad Men is back from a long break and aired its pilot episode entitled “Out of Town”. The show opened with the characters of Don Draper and Salvatore Romano on a business trip held out of town while other characters of Pete Campbell and Ken Cosgrove are bothered about the whole changes that will take effect in Sterling Cooper and how such changes might affect them.

Everyone, especially the fanatics of this show, was excited on the launching of the 3rd season. Regardless of weather you are a fan or not of Mad Men, season 3 seemed to be kind of dragging to the viewers. No one can contest that Mad Men is a great show as proven by their 6 Emmys and winning over 3 Golden Globes. But this particular first episode of Mad Men is not as good as their previous episodes were. To simply put things into perspective, the pacing of the show is odd and the story line is helplessly boring. Even if the show is somewhat boring, it is still better as compared to other shows that are being aired on television.

Probably a plea to the writers of the show will help Mad Men Season 3 get back on track. Fans would not want to see this show hit bottom because of bad and boring storyline.

Not a bad season opener still.
