Fans of the hit show Flight of the Conchords will be happy to hear that the release of season 2 on DVD will be here August 4th. For those of you that have not seen an episode, I am here to tell you a little something about this absolutely funny and unique show, that will have you wanting more after watching one episode.
It is a show that follows the life of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, a two man digi-folk band from New Zealand. The two move to New York City for a chance for fame and each show focuses on the trials and tribulations that they face along the way, in a very hysterical manner.
Although season 1 was good and just as hilarious, there were times that I felt the music was a bit far from the actual story line and plot. This was changed with season 2 making for much more enjoyable viewing experience. Unlike season 1 the music in season 2 was written especially for the episodes and the plot which made them blend in much better.
Flight of the Conchords is an HBO favourite and has received excellent ratings, thanks to its subtle humor and improve. The DVD release date was scheduled, by HBO, even prior to the season two premiere of the show being aired, so many have already ordered their copy before they even show the first show of the season.
When you get a DVD of your a show you love not only do you get to watch favorite episodes over and over again, but you also get the benefit of all the extras that you don’t see on TV. The Flight of the Conchords Season Two DVD comes with 23 minutes of deleted scenes, 8 minutes of outtakes, a few Dave’s pawn Shop commercials and a 30 minutes bonus; Flight of the Conchords, Taking Off. These alone make the DVD worth buying even if you don’t want to re watch an episode you have already seen!
